Here's an interview with PepsiCo President Indra K. Nooyi with perhaps conflicting opinions.
Why PepsiCo CEO Indra K. Nooyi can't have it all
I feel for her, I know of many women who've given up their passions and dreams to take care of their family and home. But this does not mean that they aren't happy. its just human nature to think about the "What If?".
Here's what i love most about her interview
"You know, you have to cope, because you die with guilt. You just die with guilt. My observation, David, is that the biological clock and the career clock are in total conflict with each other."
"Die with guilt? Hell no! I'd rather leave everything behind and chase my dreams." would've said a younger, naive you.
Little did you realize that reality will pull you into its whirlpool and that's when you would have to make the tough decision.
But let me say that there is no harm in trying to balance both. Yes you have to make sacrifices and along with you, your family makes sacrifices, and its a vicious cycle. We see it happen with many women in today's world. I'm sure to some extent they go through the same feelings and India K. Nooyi as well.
