The Progressive Woman Invents Chocolate Chip Cookies!

THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE WAS INVENTED BY RUTH WAKEFIELD!

did you know? in 1938, Ruth Wakefield, a dietitian from Plymouth, MA created her infamous chocolate chip cookie.

Here's the story:
"In 1930, she and her husband Kenneth Donald Wakefield bought a tourist lodge (the Toll House Inn) in the town of Whitman, Massachusetts in Plymouth County. Located about halfway between Boston and New Bedford, it was a place where passengers had historically paid a toll, changed horses and ate home-cooked meals. When the Wakefields opened their business, they named the establishment the Toll House Inn. Ruth cooked and served all the food and soon gained local fame for her desserts. The restaurant had many visitors, including Massachusetts' Senator John F. Kennedy. Her chocolate chip cookies soon became very popular.

The Progressive Woman ... Goes Through Role Reversal

First! Watch this

Disgusting isn't it? Was for me! And i'm sure it is for many women who've been stared at when they were just walking down the street, or been harassed on a regular day.

Why would a hamburger seem more appealing if you make it sexual? Like WTF who eats their burger like that anyway?
C' mon burger-place-i'd-rather-not-name, if I want a burger, i'll get a damn burger. You really don't have to have a model shove it into her face just to make me buy it. I mean did that work for anyone?

Makes me wanna jump out the window and not onto the bed covered with all the spices and orange food coloring your dorritos comes with. Did you think about who's going to change the sheets after?

The Progressive Woman Makes a Tough Decision

Here's an interview with PepsiCo President Indra K. Nooyi with perhaps conflicting opinions.

Why PepsiCo CEO Indra K. Nooyi can't have it all

I feel for her, I know of many women who've given up their passions and dreams to take care of their family and home. But this does not mean that they aren't happy. its just human nature to think about the "What If?".

Here's what i love most about her interview

"You know, you have to cope, because you die with guilt. You just die with guilt. My observation, David, is that the biological clock and the career clock are in total conflict with each other."

"Die with guilt? Hell no! I'd rather leave everything behind and chase my dreams." would've said a younger, naive you.

Little did you realize that reality will pull you into its whirlpool and that's when you would have to make the tough decision.

But let me say that there is no harm in trying to balance both. Yes you have to make sacrifices and along with you, your family makes sacrifices, and its a vicious cycle. We see it happen with many women in today's world. I'm sure to some extent they go through the same feelings and India K. Nooyi as well.

The Progressive Woman Runs Like a Girl

Have you seen this? I don't know if we should take it as an insult or be proud. A very interesting promotional video by always gets your attention immediately when these girls start stereotyping their own kind.

like anyone else, at first I was confused and maybe thought it was funny but when reality hits you with younger girls acting more mature than we would imagine, you're almost ashamed to have smirked at the models before.

Take a moment and think about it. Women! you're only allowing others to call you anything "Like a Girl" when you give into these stereotypes.
